General Terms and Conditions (GTC)
1 Scope and Conclusion of Contract
These General Terms and Conditions apply to all legal relationships between Parkhotel Beau-Site AG (hereinafter referred to äs the "Hotel") and the guest. A contract is concluded through written, verbal, telephone or electronic booking by the guest and the subsequent confirmation by the Hotel. The confirmation may also be generated automatically by the booking System. Communications via email are considered to have been made in writing. These terms and conditions form an integral part of this contract. A guest is any person staying overnight or consuming Services. This also applies to persons using the Hotel's infrastructure.
2 Prices, Taxes and Payment Conditions
All prices are stated in Swiss Francs (CHF) and include service charges and value-added tax. Pricing errors and obvious mistakes may be corrected.
2.1 Visitor's Tax
In addition to the accommodation price, a visitor's tax of CHF 4.00 per adult and CHF 2.00 per child (9-15 years) per night will be charged. Children up to and including 8 years are exempt from the visitor's tax.
2.2 Payment Methods
Accepted are cash payments in CHF, US dollars and euros (at the current daily exchange rate). We also accept Reka checks and Reka Card, debit cards and common credit cards such äs Mastercard and Visa. For online bookings, Mastercard, Visa and Amex are accepted. All invoices must be settled before departure.
2.3 Deposits and Reservation Guarantees
The Hotel may require advance payments in full or in part of the reservation amount. When booking the Standard rate, an authorization of 100% of the booked Services is due after expiration of the cancellation deadline. The deposit will be refunded in the event of early cancellation proportionally depending on the time of cancellation in accordance with the cancellation conditions. When booking the non-refundable rate (non refundable / non-changeable), a deposit of 100% of the booked Services is due at the time of reservation.
2.4 Price Adjustments
In the event of changes to government charges or taxes as well as official requirements, prices may be adjusted accordingly.
2.5 Disruptions and Operational Restrictions
Disruptions such as noise and/or operational restrictions and/or maintenance of the Gornergrat railway do not entitle the guest to any compensation or refund.
3 Cancellation
Should you be forced to cancel your stay, the following conditions apply:
3.1 Standard Rate
The cancellation policy is set out in your booking confirmation; depending on the cancellation period, 100% of the booked services will be charged.
3.2 Non-Refundable Rate
The non-refundable rate (non-refundable / non-changeable) will be charged 100% to your credit card at the time of booking. A refund or change of the stay to another date is not possible.
3.3 Cancellation Insurance
Plans may change at short notice. Especially when traveling with children, unforeseen events may occur. We recommend taking out cancellation insurance with Allianz Global. In case of no-show or early departure, 100% of the booked Services will be charged.
3.4 Cancellation of the Booking by the Hotel
The Hotel may cancel reservations within 48 hours after booking without stating reasons. Payments already made will be refunded. It is also possible that an already confirmed reservation may be cancelled by the Hotel up to 3 months prior to arrival.
3.5 Cancellation due to Force Majeure
In cases of force majeure such as political unrest, strikes, disasters or pandemics, the Hotel may cancel bookings at short notice for safety reasons.
4 Stay and Use of Facilities
4.1 Check-in / Check-out
On the day of arrival, your room will be available from 15:00. On the day of departure, the room must be vacated by 11:00 at the latest. Early check-in and late check-out can only be granted upon request and may incur additional charges.
4.2 Room Requests
There is no entitlement to a specific room or floor. However, you may express your preference and we will attempt to accommodate your request.
4.3 Pool Area
Children under 16 years may only enter the indoor pool when accompanied by an adult. Use of the facilities is at your own risk. There is no lifeguard on duty. Glasses and glass bottles are not permitted in the spa. The Hotel accepts no liability. For minor guests, supervision and responsibility lie with the legal guardians.
4.4 Pets
Dogs are allowed. Please notify this at the time of reservation. A fee of CHF 25 per night will be charged. Dogs must be kept on a leash throughout the Hotel. Dogs are not allowed in the dining room (breakfast & dinner), indoor pool or wellness area. Owners are liable for all damages caused by their dogs. No other pets are permitted.
4.5 Smoking
Smoking is strictly prohibited in the Hotel and rooms. Triggering the fire alarm or requiring fire brigade intervention will result in a Charge of at least CHF 500.
4.6 Prohibition ofCooking Activities in Hotel Rooms
Cooking or heating food in hotel rooms is strictly prohibited for safety reasons. In case of violation, the Hotel reserves the right to terminate the stay immediately and request departure. Triggering the fire alarm will result in costs of at least CHF 500.
4.7 Use of the Internet
Use of the Internet within the Hotel is at the guest's own risk. The Hotel does not guarantee security, availability or functionality. Services are provided voluntarily and free of Charge. No entitlement to uninterrupted Service exists.
4.8 Lost Property
Lost property will only be returned upon request, at the guest's risk and expense. Items are stored for up to 1 month and then disposed of. The Hotel assumes no liability.
5 Health, lllness and Insurance of Guests
Guests are responsible for having valid health, accident and travel insurance. The Hotel assumes no liability for damages or costs arising from illness, accidents, lack of insurance or voluntary administration of medication. Medication is provided without medical advice and at the guest's own risk. Liability is excluded to the extent permitted by law. Infectious diseases may lead to exclusion from Services or request to depart.
6 Vouchers
Hotel vouchers are valid for ten years from the date of purchase. The purchase date is decisive. After expiry, Swiss Code of Obligations Art. 127 applies. The voucher must be presented in printed or digital form. A code alone is insufficient. Redemption is only possible after payment by the purchaser.
7 Liability and Damages
The Hotel may expel guests in case of violations. Liability exists only in cases of intent or gross negligence. Liability for guest property is excluded within legal limits. Claims must be submitted in writing within 14 days after departure.
8 Data Protection
The Hotel complies with applicable data protection laws. Guest data is used for operational security, sales, statistics and billing.
9 Applicable Law and Jurisdiction
Swiss law applies. The exclusive place of jurisdiction is Sion (Valais), Switzerland.
